Copasetic - an obscure brand of antiseptic used at the Copacabana Lounge in 1957 when Lola the dancing queen came down with a herd of drug-resistant wild crabs.

Little known fact: Her taxi-cab driver Neal Armstrong provided the antiseptic "for a small fee."

If there were still door-to-door hair tonic men, i would love to order a whole bunch of hair tonic and pour them all into the bathtub. I would take a bath, and become a gorilla. Then i would follow fine folks like Mr. Boyle from door to door selling hair-removal tonics. People would say, "HEY, I CAN'T BUY YOUR HAIR REMOVAL TONIC CUZ I SPENT ALL MY MONEY ON HAIR TONIC."

then i would give them a credit card application.

blue was the girl color for most european traditions until the WWII era, because when europe became christianized, blue was the color for the virgin mary, pink was considered "light red" and more powerful, thus appropriate for boys.

prior to the christianization of europe, blue was for all children because evil spirits don't like blue, the color of the heavens.

In China and nearby Asian nations, blue was traditionally for boys because the dye was very expensive, and it was an honor to have a male child--thus the two seemed to deserve one another.

"Little boy blue"
I teach four year olds, and the blue/male association is really intense, I mean they fight literally over acquiring all things with the color blue, I have had otherwise well behaved mild mannered children throw a hard core fit over getting the blue scissors versus anyother color, or hiding wads of blue playdough in the backpack, etc. they request everything in blue, obsess over blue, dream in blue...
